Who Can Go Suck It – G Hijacked This Episode
Thanks to Gunsage for creating this category as it works perfectly for this rant. I need to borrow it for a second please. I won’t scratch the disc or anything, I promise. You know who can go suck it? Excite email service.
Here’s the deal. I’ve been commenting here for a few months. I’ve been reading here since Luigi’s Mansion was still active, Skeletor ruled the universe, and Morphine Jim was teaching me new English profanity (e.g. “cunting”).
About a week ago I succumbed to peer pressure by the Morphine Nation’s resident expert on sex, Seattle Freeze. Yeah, I agreed to try and contribute. That’s when Excite turned on me.
Simple backstory: I’ve had this email address with very little spam or problems since 1998. Alot of people who are on a need to know basis have this as my primary contact. ’nuff said.
The support staff at MN were very helpful when I realized I was neither receiving confirmation email links for admin accounts here, nor were my emails out to people like JCC. Nothing in junkmail or spam folders either. It’s as if the emails are in some kind of internet purgatory or went straight to hell.
The kicker is that using the same email address, two weeks ago, I signed up to be comment-capable at Project Wonderboy. Of course I have yet to receive that confirmation email either.
So, in lieu of this email server cunting head-ache I provide a moral. Considering a new email account? Want something that connects quickly? Thinking about convenience of using a lesser known provider so you can get around firewalls at work? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD pick someone other than Excite.
Lord knows how many significant emails I’ve missed. Somewhere a politically ousted prince wants to deposit millions into my account. Opportunity missed. I could know how to enlarge my member, but not today Mr. Limpy (as I am NOW forced to call him). What about a mail-order brides from Russia or discreetly mailed illicit narcotics?
Even more importantly, what about an old friend who might think I am snubbing them.
You bet I am going to get me a gmail account. I mean shit, it’s “G”mail. My work email will suffice for a short period between, but fuck Excite regardless.

When I first saw your main email was Excite, the first thing I thought was “I haven’t seen an Excite.com email address in 10 years”. But yeah, you totally need to get Gmail.
